The KSPG Automotive Brazil Ltda. - Divisão KS Kolbenschmidt division has been operating on the South American market since 1968 where close to São Paolo and under the name of KSPG Automotive Brazil Ltda. - Divisão KS Kolbenschmidt, a factory was set up, initially for building ring-belt pistons.
As part of a necessary plant expansion, this factory moved to Nova Odessa where since 1991 and on a site belonging to the Kolbenschmidt Pierburg Group close to the metropolis of Campinas, pistons and piston modules are built both for the South American market and for export (Europe, North America, and Australia). KSPG Automotive Brazil Ltda. - Divisão KS Kolbenschmidt is the world's biggest piston plant of the Group.
